Got a Raise!

I received a raise today and will see the increase in my next's paycheck. We do not get Cost of Living raises because it is based on performance and skills.

I am trying to come up with ways to save this money and not to see this as a cost of living raise with the recent groceries and gas price increase.

I also got a raise in February and decided to pretend I never did. I automatically put the money in savings and continue to live with the income prior to the raise. After a while saving that money will be second nature. Another suggestion is to put that money in a Roth IRA by way of direct deposit. Just my suggestions, I think that you won't miss the money if you do it starting with the first check.
